Non-Case Holding SEND Advanced Practitioner Team: CWD Location: Barnsley Rate: £40 Details: Barnsley Children’s Services are seeking a non case holding advanced social work practitioner to work within Barnsley\’s children with disabilities service to support in driving forward service developments & other key areas of focus. The candidate must have a social work degree qualification. Any potential candidate must have several years experience of working within children\’s safeguarding services & experience of working with children with disabilities at a senior practitioner level. Experience of supervising others is desirable. This will be a non-case holding role, whereby you will support the Designated Social Care Officer with rolling out training, co-production with parents/carers, children & young people, the co-development of Social Care/SEND services and the new Barnsley short breaks team. This role is initially for a 3 month period. The applicant must have drive, initiative & be able to effectively manage their time to complete projects within a tight timescale. The candidate will work with health, SEND, social care & other partners across the SEND landscape and must have a sound knowledge of children\’s legislation, including the SEND code of practice and education law.
