Liverpool Children’s Services is committed to improving our services to ensure that we are providing the best service possible for children, young people and families. We are currently looking for 2 x Qualified and Registered Social Workers with experience in a Team Manager and/or QA/Practice Improvement type role, within a statutory Children’s Social care setting.
Applicants need to have a good understanding of what good social work practice looks like and be passionate about systemic and relational based practice models. This role does not have any line management responsibility but does require an ability to work as part of a QA team, work with Social Care teams and also autonomously, demonstrating an ability to use initiative and experience to deliver a positive Quality Assurance system. There is a requirement to work on site a minimum of 3 days a week, in order to build trusting relationships with teams, so that quality assurance becomes embedded as part of a positive and supportive culture of improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborative auditing
- Facilitating live audits
- Coaching and mentoring
- Producing high quality reports and action plans
- Delivering bite-sized learning opportunities and supporting our “Care, Inspire, Thrive Children’s Workforce Academy.”
Liverpool are currently adopting the Family Safeguarding Model and we would be particularly keen to welcome applications from practitioners experienced in this model.
