We are looking to recruit an experienced Team Leader to join our friendly team.
Brockworth House Nursing Home is located in a peaceful area of Gloucester, overlooking Coopers Hill and close to the scenic Witcombe Reservoirs. The home provides high-quality nursing and dementia care for up to 52 residents. Set within beautiful grounds, Brockworth House offers a warm, family-like environment where residents can feel safe, valued, and supported. Our dedicated team focuses on delivering exceptional standards of personalised care, ensuring residents and their families feel respected and truly at home.
As a Team Leader, you will use your care experience and leadership skills to guide and support a team of care staff in delivering the highest standards of care. You will promote teamwork, communication, and a person-centred approach to care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support care staff to ensure excellent standards of care are delivered.
- Assess and meet residents’ individual care needs in line with care plans.
- Administer prescribed medication and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct effective handovers and communicate relevant information between shifts.
- Support with updating and reviewing residents’ care documentation.
- Promote a positive and inclusive team culture within the home.
What matters most is your genuine care, enthusiasm, and ability to bring positive energy to our residents' lives.
Our Ideal Candidate Must- Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Have 2 years’ experience working in a similar care environment.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
