We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to nurture young minds and create magical learning environments for our children to flourish.
Sandcastles Nursery is part of St Faith’s Prep School, set in the beautiful Kent countryside.
We are proud of our warm, purposeful Early Years community where children (ages 2–4+) learn through play, exploration and high‑quality adult interaction.
Children benefit from specialist teaching in Music, French and Sport, access to superb outdoor spaces including a Nature Garden, and a rich EYFS curriculum that supports a confident transition into school.
Our nursery is organised into the Dolphin and Turtle Rooms (2–3s) and the Starfish Room (pre‑Reception), with a strong focus on personal, social and emotional development, communication and language, and physical development—brought to life through stories, role play, outdoor learning and child‑led curiosity.

Skills
- An excellent understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Experience in planning inspiring activities for children aged 0-5 to explore and enjoy
- Have a completed Early Years Level qualification (Level 2 or above) (not essential)
- Be confident in creating a stimulating environment that enables children to become confident learners
- Excellent communicator with the ability to quickly build relationships with the children and their parents
Responsibilities
- To plan and deliver a range of age-appropriate activities focusing on each individual child’s interests
- To ensure that a safe, stimulating environment is maintained for children while overseeing the implementation of activities
- To work alongside the staff team to ensure that the Nursery’s ethos is being fulfilled
- To work with all staff in promoting good staff practices across the Nursery and always ensure the safety of the children and their environment
- To liaise with and fully support your room leader
- To ensure that all child development records are updated, where applicable
- To discreetly attend to young children’s toileting needs
- To agree to the policies and procedures and carry them out to the best of your ability
- To adhere to all nursery policies on safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene etc.
