Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. We operate with the highest level of integrity and provide a supportive, rule-based, and team-oriented environment to ensure your success. This role is critical to our operations and requires a candidate with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and extensive experience in industrial electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Design minor electrical circuits and test/troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic machine control circuits.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and dismantle electrical machinery to replace defective parts.
- Install, monitor, and adjust electrical equipment for hazards and performance.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to complete layouts, assembly, and installation.
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and complete circuits to diagram specifications.
- Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools.
- Utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- May direct the work of others in lower classifications.
Qualifications
Education
- A two-year Associate degree in a related field is required.
Experiences
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Proven experience designing minor electrical circuits and troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and electronic controls.
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Hands-on experience installing controls and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
- Experience using a computer to search for parts and enter data into a maintenance system (CMMS).
Other
- Must have knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, including lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, stooping, and bending.
