Immediate start – Sheffield based with some travel. Our well established and nationally represented clients are at the forefront of the renewable energy sector. The company is a dynamic established and growing innovator seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to join their operations team and help take delivery capabilities to the next level.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install solar PV systems, including panels, inverters and battery storage units in line with technical design specifications and according to industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure all installations comply with UK electrical standards (IET Wiring Regulations) and health and safety standards.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry technologies and legislation.
- Continuously monitor and maintain excellent levels of H&S on site.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project timelines, system performance and maintenance needs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation for installations, maintenance and repairs including compliance checks.
- Assist with the completion of necessary paperwork for permits and grid connection applications.
Candidate Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- 17th/18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations Certificate.
- Experience in Solar PV installation desirable.
- Strong understanding of commercial and utilities electrical systems and safety protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
- Must have a full, clean UK Driver’s Licence.
- Ideally have an ECS Gold Card.
