ASGuk is a well-established security systems specialist based in Gloucester. We design, install and maintain a wide range of integrated solutions, including Access Control, IP CCTV, Intercom Entry, Emergency Call Systems, Automatic Doors, Barriers and Gates. We are looking for an experienced Access Control & CCTV Engineer with at least two years' UK industry experience to join our friendly and supportive team. What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, repair, and fault-find on access control and CCTV systems, ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard.
- Manage projects from initial enquiry through to commissioning and completion, maintaining responsibility for overall quality.
- Communicate clearly with clients and the office team, acting as a reliable point of contact throughout each installation/project.
- Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations, health & safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Complete electronic service management worksheets accurately using company systems.
- Produce clear asset documentation and maintain detailed records for all installations and service visits.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure smooth, efficient project delivery.
- Develop strong technical knowledge across our full range of integrated systems, with ongoing training and support provided.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance or recommend upgrades, feeding insights back to the wider team.
What We're Looking For
- A skilled engineer with experience in access control, CCTV, or wider security systems within the UK.
- Someone with a positive attitude, strong initiative, and the ability to take ownership of their work from start to finish.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with both clients and internal teams.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing environments or new technologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physically fit and confident working at height using steps and access equipment.
- Good understanding of integrated security technology, or the ability to learn quickly with training support.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the UK security systems industry.
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent timekeeping, reliability, and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred (Training Provided if Needed)
- Experience working with automatic doors, barriers, or gates.
- Knowledge of networking or IP-based systems.
