The main objective of this mission will be to upgrade the network infrastructure at the site in UK in accordance with client standards. You will be required to participate in the design process in collaboration with the group's various IT teams and then implement the new architecture.
Key Missions:
- Solves and documents Level 2 IT needs associated with a ticket.
- Supports the installation and maintenance of operating systems, software and applications within the right standards and processes.
- Manages communication with internal customers from the point of raising requests to resolution in partnership with other departments.
- Assists external providers or vendors during certain IT activities and ensures they work in compliance with the company standards.
- Manages IT assets (computer and network equipment, servers, and licenses).
- Manages and coordinates access to IT tools while ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Gives support to the server infrastructure, virtualization, communications, and security to guarantee its availability.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and VMware infrastructure.
- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Interacts with end users and supports on complex issues and tasks and troubleshooting, defining and documenting the working instructions and escalation requests to the right technical team.
- Maintain security, backup, firmware upgrades and redundancy strategies.
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Provides training to end users and transfers knowledge to other IT members.
- Propose improvement ideas and participate in IT projects for the global IPS Division.
- Manage all desktop devices and printers.
- Works in full autonomy and reports to IT Lead or IT Manager.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is required. Note: UK HO SC clearances is required.
