We have an exciting new career opportunity for security officers providing support for a blue-chip client, in relation to all security-related matters, including people safety issues and site processes.

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts: Days (06:15 – 18:15) and Nights (18:15 – 06:15)
  • 7-day shifts, 3 days off, 7-night shifts, 4 off – rolling rota
  • Every 3rd weekend off
  • Relief work also available; hours vary week to week

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence (and SIA Licence)
  • Minimum 1 year in security (preferred)
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and bespoke systems (training provided)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills written and verbal
  • Customer service oriented – professionalism and compassion
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently, while being a team player
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to new requests outside core role

Responsibilities

  • Carry out site duties in line with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct internal and external site patrols including perimeter and fire door checks
  • Prevent any unauthorized access to and within perimeters and buildings
  • Liaise with the technical team daily to report any alarms, CCTV, gates issues
  • Liaise with departmental heads of staff in case of property or asset issues
  • Respond to all incidents or emergencies onsite
  • Site gatehouse management duties
  • Site keys and incident report management
  • Ensure safety of people on site by reporting any health and safety breaches
  • Ensure that access/egress duties are actioned in line with company policies
  • Always adhere to company training and processes
  • Provide excellent customer service – courteous and professional
  • Undertake refresher and developmental training as required
  • Handle data with sensitivity and in line with GDPR regulations
