The Role
As an Installation and Commissioning Engineer covering the North West, you will be at the front line of our technical delivery. Working alongside Project Managers and fellow engineers, you will install and commission security systems to the highest standard, while playing an active role in mentoring the next generation of ASEL engineers. Day to day you will:
- Carry out high quality installations of intruder alarm systems, CCTV, and access control, both conventional and IP based, in line with project specifications
- Work closely with customers, Project Managers, and the wider ASEL team to ensure exceptional outcomes on every project
- Provide on site mentoring and technical leadership for Trainee Engineers
- Handle technical queries professionally and communicate site deviations or challenges clearly and promptly
- Complete all relevant job documentation accurately and on time following installation
- Support the implementation of ASEL's information security policies and field practices
- Act as a key ambassador for ASEL, representing our values and standards at every client interaction
What We Are Looking For
Essential requirements:
- A minimum of two years of hands on experience installing intruder alarm systems, CCTV, and access control
- Working knowledge of IP based security systems and familiarity with Galaxy Panels and Max Readers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising at all levels
- PC literate with confident reporting and documentation practices
- A natural mentor and team player, with the ability to lead and develop junior engineers
- A genuine passion for customer service and a commitment to delivering work to the highest standard
Desirable but not essential:
- NVQ Level 2 in Electronic Security Systems or equivalent qualification
- Experience working in a fast paced, customer focused field environment
- Exposure to networked and integrated security solutions
