This role delivers front line protection across a busy distribution environment with responsibilities including access control at gatehouse and reception areas, loss prevention through searches, regular site patrols, and collaborative CCTV review to reduce stock loss.
Location & Hours
- Location: Belfast
- Hours: 40 hrs per week
- Shift Pattern: Tuesday 13:00‑21:00, Wednesday 13:00‑21:00, Thursday 13:00‑21:00, Friday 13:00‑21:00, Saturday 10:00‑18:00
- Hourly Rate: £13.20
Main Responsibilities
- Access control – gatehouse and reception duties; welcoming, helping and directing visitors, identifying threats and escalating as appropriate.
- Loss prevention – perform colleague and contractor searches in line with client policy.
- Internal and external site patrols to deter criminal activity.
- Collaborate with the client to identify risk and review CCTV recordings for stock loss investigations.
- Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
- Digitally report incidents using tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
- Provide detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities.
- Adhere to company policy on health & safety and equal opportunities, and comply with all procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Confident communicator with ability to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents.
- Patient, welcoming, able to handle conflict professionally.
- Prior gatehouse experience is an advantage but not essential (training provided).
- A valid SIA licence is essential.
- Full 5‑year checkable work or educational history.
- Proof of right to work and recent proof of address.
