asecos is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to develop our business across the Central UK region. Reporting to the UK Sales Director, you will take responsibility for developing sales across your territory through a combination of dealer/distributor development and direct engagement with end users. You will inherit existing business and established customer relationships, but this is not simply an account-management position. We are looking for somebody who enjoys identifying opportunities, opening doors and developing new business. Working closely with our distribution partners, you will build demand for asecos products with end users and help convert those opportunities into sustainable, profitable sales.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations and training, both face-to-face and online.
  • Develop a strong understanding of relevant products, applications and safety requirements.
  • Negotiate commercially appropriate pricing and trading arrangements.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and customer information within our CRM system.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, market feedback and activity reporting.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the UK and the wider asecos organisation.
  • Manage and develop existing dealers and distribution partners within your region.
  • Identify and develop new distribution opportunities.
  • Build relationships with end users across laboratory, pharmaceutical, industrial, education, research and workplace-safety markets.
  • Identify new projects and specification opportunities.
  • Achieve agreed regional sales and business-development targets.
  • Conduct joint customer visits with distribution partners.
  • Represent asecos at exhibitions, conferences and industry events.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A successful track record of developing sales.
  • Experience working with distributors, dealers or channel partners.
  • The ability to develop business directly with end users.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Good organisational and territory-management skills.
  • Experience using CRM software.
  • Competence with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.

You should have proven experience in a field-based sales, business-development or account management role and be comfortable managing your own territory. Experience within the laboratory, cleanroom, workplace safety, PPE, spill-control, industrial equipment or related technical-product markets would be advantageous, but experience with a direct competitor is not required. What matters most is your ability to understand technical products, build strong commercial relationships and develop opportunities through both channel partners and end users.

What We Offer

  • Competitive basic salary plus bonus and company car/car allowance.
  • Laptop and mobile phone.
  • Home-based working.
  • Comprehensive product and application training.
  • The opportunity to represent a respected international manufacturer with significant growth potential in the UK.
  • The role will involve regular travel throughout the Central UK territory, together with occasional travel elsewhere in the UK and to asecos headquarters in Germany.

If you are a commercially ambitious sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, finding opportunities and growing a territory, we would like to hear from you.
