Your Role
Experience working in one of Yorkshire’s largest in-house tax teams. This is a tax role that truly offers the opportunity to advise and influence one of the UK largest Supermarket retailers. Supported by the Head of Tax, the role will include getting involved in a broad range of tax matters, for example, transaction tax support, the R&D process, HMRC enquiries, Transfer Pricing and Financing support, plus providing support on tax compliance matters including tax accounting under IFRS. This is an incredible opportunity to expand your skills and experience, with the support of an established tax team, continuing your development to help advance your career. Although the tax team of 10 sits within the finance function you will have a broad responsibility that stretches beyond finance into the wider business. You will have the opportunity to work with and gain exposure/experience across the whole retail environment helping to build an understanding of the changing tax legislation in order to impact, influence and inform decision making across ASDA.
For this particular role, you will ideally be:
- A qualified tax manager ACA or CTA qualified
- A strong corporate tax background is essential, including experience of preparing corporation tax computations and tax disclosures for statutory accounts.
