Overview: We are recruiting for an IT Project Leader to join the business to work on a variety of projects across the Digital and Technology Infrastructure Delivery team.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing project plans (timescales, budgets/finances, resources, governance)
  • Working with project and programme managers, third parties and internal teams to ensure on‑time delivery at high quality
  • Responsibility for project artefacts (risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, RACI, decisions log)
  • Responsible for formal status reporting and ensuring Sponsor and stakeholders receive regular updates on the progress
  • Identifying, communicating and resolving risks, concerns, issues and dependency blockers, initiating appropriate escalation to the Project Manager or Senior Programme Manager where required
  • Delivering high‑quality products and services in a fully serviceable state including hand‑over to Service support teams
  • Liaising/coordinating with other project teams across the Asda business and external partners to manage interdependencies, requirements gathering, alignment on timescales and coordination of resources

About You:

  • At least 12 months’ experience of working on IT Projects, preferably Technology Infrastructure, reporting into a Project or Programme Manager
  • Knowledge of the Retail Sector is beneficial, but not essential
  • Understanding the concepts of project delivery, and hands‑on experience of utilising methodologies such as Waterfall
