About the Role

To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a wide variety of shift patterns – if you\’re looking for flexible working to fit around your lifestyle, then look no further! We\’ll work with you on your shifts, but weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Accurately assembling and processing prescriptions.
  • Driving awareness of all extra services we offer in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews).
  • Supporting the Pharmacist with delivery and effective record‑keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes, etc.).
  • Collecting customers’ prescriptions from their doctor\’s surgery and ensuring they are ready for collection at the store.
  • Developing an understanding of strict Standard Operating Procedures and consistently applying them.
  • Completing an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months, then training as a Dispensing Assistant.

About You

You are naturally friendly, highly organised, and eager to get stuck in. You possess good computer skills, attention to detail, and communicate well with customers. You enjoy problem‑solving and are passionate about helping people, aiming to deliver a great healthcare experience by finding what customers need and having a chat along the way.

  • Tuesday 14:00 – 21:00
  • Sunday 10:00 – 16:00
