Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role is a hybrid of patient care and commercial focus that requires a strong leader with a passion for Healthcare, patients and driving a profitable business. The role is accountable for delivering all Pharmacy-related targets and deadlines and managing the store Pharmacist and Pharmacy Colleagues to support Asda Pharmacy becoming best in class.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient experience, achieving exceptional levels of patient safety.
- Direct responsibility for the support and development of all direct reports and locums to maintain high standards of professional customer service and compliance within GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.
- Ensure clinical and service queries are supported by regional and home office teams.
- Balance the role of line manager and pharmacist to deliver safe working and inspire motivation to achieve defined KRAs.
- Challenge, confront and solve difficult situations maintaining solid connections in store and with field teams.
Qualifications
- A fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
- Accredited to deliver national and local services for the NHS and private healthcare.
- Experience balancing line manager and pharmacist responsibilities to deliver safe working and results.
- Ability to inspire motivation and action within defined KRAs.
- Experience confronting and solving difficult situations and maintaining solid connections.
- Valid GPhC registration, right to work in the UK, safeguarding qualifications, DBS check and live update service enrolment.
