Find your role: As Finance Assistant Accountant β Treasury, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Asda Treasury finance function. This includes helping to ensure effective cash management, maintain internal controls and accurate financial records.
You will have responsibility for:
- Assisting with daily cash positioning, monitoring balances across a multitude of bank accounts.
- Processing and reconciling bank transactions, including payments, receipts, and intercompany transfers.
- Investigating discrepancies.
- Business partnering with multiple teams across finance.
- Submission of journals and balance sheets reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Supporting compliance with treasury policies and internal controls.
- Assisting with audit requests and providing treasury-related documentation.
We are looking for a candidate with prior experience in a finance, treasury, or accounting role (retail experience is a plus but not a requirement). You should also have the following:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Great analytical skills, problem solving and an eye for detail.
- Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Prior experience in balance sheet reconciliations desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience in use of SAP is desirable but not required.
