The food midi space analysts sit within the supply chain function alongside the floor planning team. They are pivotal to planning all midi food space activity ensuring the category scope is reflected in store and supportive to commercial asks. You will be accountable for the end-to-end midi space changes in stores, this will include our existing superstores, supercentres, supermarkets and the newly cohabited express stores. You will be responsible for managing your own workload, managing stakeholder communication and expectations throughout the critical path and ensuring that all stages of the activity are delivered to a high standard with a level of detail that ensures smooth delivery in each stage of the critical path.
We have a fantastic team of experienced midi space analysts to support and assist you throughout. We work in a fast-paced environment, where we always look to do things better with the ambition to simplify processes. You’ll work collaboratively with modular planning, commercial and property and must have strong communication skills with the ability to influence and cascade.
- Produce store specific recommendations using a range of data sets to support the strategic and commercial scope.
- Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders; modular planning, floor planning, commercial and property.
- Support the wider team to ensure flows and adjacencies models are up to date and fit for purpose, this ensures that all stores are planned to model, and changes are approved in line with expectation.
- Check store specific space data to ensure all plans meet our strategic and commercial space requirements.
- Land the commercial strategy whilst also protecting the operational metrics in stores.
- Present all store recommendations in a meeting style forum where you will require the ability to discuss openly, influence and cascade.
- Produce accurate data records of confirmed scope for all projects, allowing for accurate implementation across implementation and modular build teams.
- Work across several format types and project workstreams, from superstores to convenience, single store projects to multiple site projects, building on various skillsets for each.

Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
