As Service Optimisation Manager, you will play a critical role in driving efficiency, consistency and value across our Shared Service function in a fast‑paced retail environment. You will lead continuous improvement activity end‑to‑end, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve service performance, reduce cost and enhance colleague and customer experience. Operating at the heart of the Service Centre function, you’ll balance pace with rigour, using data, insight and structured improvement methodologies to help to optimise the function while responding to the demands of a dynamic retail landscape.
What you’ll do
- Lead and embed a culture of continuous improvement across Asda Service Centre, building capability and ownership at all levels.
- Identify, prioritise and deliver service optimisation initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, speed and cost effectiveness.
- Analyse end‑to‑end processes using data, performance metrics and customer insight to diagnose root causes and opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement improved processes, controls and ways of working, ensuring changes are pragmatic, scalable and measurable.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma or other CI methodologies to deliver tangible benefits aligned to business priorities.
- Track and report benefits realisation, service performance and improvement outcomes, providing clear insight to senior stakeholders.
- Partner with Product Owners and Asda Technology to optimise the use of systems and tools within the function.
- Support change management activity, ensuring improvements are effectively adopted and sustained.
- Continuously scan for industry best practice and innovation relevant to retail Finance Shared Services.
