Overview

Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of leadership development from front‑line leader to executive succession.
- Design and embed talent development pathways for emerging talent, high potentials, successors, and senior leaders.
- Lead a team of experts across leadership, talent, and systems.
- Integrate leadership and talent frameworks into Workday (Talent, Performance, Skills Cloud, Learning).
- Drive cultural change through leadership behaviour, routines, and capability building.
- Deliver enterprise‑wide talent processes: performance cycles, talent reviews, succession calibration, capability reporting.
- Use insight and analytics to identify risks and shape interventions.
- Influence senior leadership with clear, simple recommendations.
- Create operating rhythms aligning talent and leadership with business performance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience leading large-scale leadership and talent initiatives.
- Hands‑on expertise with Workday Talent & Performance.
- Strong understanding of leadership frameworks, behaviour change, and cultural transformation.
- Credibility with Exec‑level stakeholders.
- Experience leading and developing specialist teams.
- High judgement, excellent storytelling, and strong organisational awareness.

To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
