Here at Asda we have a great opportunity for a Senior Manager Digital and Technology to join the legal team. This is a key strategic role with full accountability to business partner with Technology, E-commerce and Rewards, providing legal strategic advice as well as the negotiation and delivery of GNFR contracts. The role requires demonstrated experience in leading, developing & coaching a team.
Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the end-to-end legal advice for defined business areas
- Advise on how to best structure arrangements with external suppliers
- Negotiate and draft legal documentation to support those arrangements
- Continuous improvement and best in class tech contract advice including where appropriate the delivery of the legal self-service goals
- Maintaining MI and one version of the truth Tech contracts repository
- Driving transparency whilst focusing on key issues to enable the business to deliver at pace
- Supporting corporate governance for the defined business areas
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
- Partnering with various stakeholders, including VP's, SD's, legal suppliers, legal leadership team and external outsourced digital / tech partners & suppliers
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience of running a portfolio of contracts from professional services and resource to cloud based agreements, software licenses agreements and software ownership
- A track record of delivering contracts to project timelines
- An inspirational leader who can demonstrate service experience, team leadership and change management
