We have a fantastic opportunity for a Category Technologist to join our ambient grocery team. This position requires attendance at Asda House in Leeds for a minimum of three days per week. We welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time hours, flexible working arrangements, or job share opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support suppliers to deliver safe, legal, and great value products.
  • Champion Asda’s standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Lead on customer dissatisfaction and drive sustainable change.
  • Own investigations into serious customer complaints and enforcement interactions.
  • Lead product launches with supply partners for first-time quality.
  • Review and approve specifications with intrinsic food safety at the core.
  • Participate in product optimisation to offer Asda brand products at Asda price.
  • Maintain key customer KPIs and deliver within accountable area.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant product or scientific area.
  • Manufacturing experience in operations, technical, or product development.
  • Understanding of audit standards such as BRC.
  • Computer literate.
  • Commercially and customer aware.
  • Ability to prioritise and flex to business needs.
