We have a fantastic opportunity for a Category Technologist to join our ambient grocery team. This position requires attendance at Asda House in Leeds for a minimum of three days per week. Responsibilities
- Support suppliers to deliver safe, legal, and great value products.
- Champion Asda’s standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Lead on customer dissatisfaction and drive sustainable change.
- Own investigations into serious customer complaints and enforcement interactions.
- Lead product launches with supply partners for first-time quality.
- Review and approve specifications with intrinsic food safety at the core.
- Participate in product optimisation to offer Asda brand products at Asda price.
- Maintain key customer KPIs and deliver within accountable area.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant product or scientific area.
- Manufacturing experience in operations, technical, or product development.
- Understanding of audit standards such as BRC.
- Computer literate.
- Commercially and customer aware.
- Ability to prioritise and flex to business needs.
