We’re transforming the way procurement works here at Asda. The role places you at the heart of decision‑making and at the forefront of our transformation journey. The team manages over £2.5 billion of indirect/goods not for resale spend and is working to become a best‑in‑class function with a broad agenda covering sourcing, cost transformation, sustainability and management of strategic relationships. You will support commercial activities across multiple levels and categories, including Technology, Marketing, Professional Services, Property & FM and Logistics/Supply Chain. You will help drive efficiency, secure our #2 share in grocery and deliver value to customers.
Your Role
- As a Procurement expert, you will lead transformation activities and ensure a best‑in‑class cost base within your categories.
- You will develop and implement category strategies, collaborate with cross‑functional colleagues, and provide commercial leadership in a complex environment.
- Strong commercial acumen, communication and negotiation skills are essential.
- Experience in a relevant category role is desirable but not mandatory; we welcome candidates interested in switching categories.
