A career in Buying offers exciting opportunities to shape the products our customers see every day. On our 2-year Buying apprenticeship programme, you’ll rotate across different product categories gaining hands-on experience, with all the support you need every step of the way!

What will you be doing?

  • As a Buying Apprentice, you’ll be part of the team that plans and selects the products our customers love – both in-store and online.
  • Work closely with suppliers to deliver competitive, compelling offers.
  • Learn every aspect of the Buying Assistant role, from product selection to pricing and promotions.
  • Gain insight into merchandising, stock management, and market trends.

We’re looking for apprentices who are:

  • Curious and interested in business
  • Passionate about retail, the products we offer and customer experience
  • Analytical, comfortable working with numbers and detail-oriented
  • Great communicators and relationship builders
  • Inclusive, honest, and driven to make a difference
  • Ambitious and keen to succeed

You’ll study for a Level 4 apprenticeship in Buying and Merchandising (equivalent to a higher BTEC qualification). Delivered over two years through blended learning, the programme combines experience with online learning modules, lectures, and face-to-face tuition. We will of course, cover your costs and make sure you have time off to study.

Requirements:

  • 104 UCAS points/ Level 3 qualification
  • No formal experience needed, just a willingness to learn
  • Basic computer literacy and internet familiarity
  • Good communication and collaboration skills

If you are successful at each stage, you will progress to the next. This will include:

  • A short, blended personality and numerical assessment
  • Three, quick video interview questions
  • A half-day assessment centre, where you will meet the team and find out more about the programme.
