About the Role

Your role is to manage end-to-end sourcing activity and set category strategy, influence and partner stakeholders to deliver cost transformation, ensuring a best-in-class cost base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead major business investments, executive priorities, and cost transformation programmes.
  • Deliver the cost and cash programme, develop expertise across all categories, build long‑term roadmap, and leverage data and analytics.
  • Drive procurement transformation, embedding new ways of working, leading the technology roadmap, defining processes and setting standards.
  • Partner with Asda Technology and CIO to unlock commercial value.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing activities and develop category strategies.
  • Influence and collaborate with stakeholders to support transformation initiatives and maintain a competitive cost base.
  • Lead major business investments and executive priorities within the function.
  • Contribute to the cost and cash programme leveraging data and analytics in the Centre of Excellence.
  • Drive procurement transformation, setting new standards and defining the procurement technology roadmap.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Procurement/Category Management.
  • Experience in technology procurement (software/SaaS, professional services, managed services) desirable.
  • Skilled in crafting and managing complex contracts.
  • Capability to balance and anticipate needs of stakeholders.
  • Experience influencing senior levels within a large organisation.
  • Agile and adaptable in a dynamic transformation environment.

Work Environment

Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days a week in one of our home offices; further office days may be required for supplier visits, stores, or depots.
