Asda is undergoing an exciting data transformation, placing insight and analytics at the heart of strategic decision-making. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Portfolio Coordinator to support the squads that deliver insight across our commercial, customer, supply chain, and digital functions.
What You'll Love
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the portfolio, helping to ensure our work is aligned with strategic objectives, as well as supporting a high performing team culture. This role requires a blend of project management skills, structured thinking, effective communication, and strong administrative capabilities. You'll learn from experienced programme and portfolio colleagues, as well as developing knowledge of the ways we are driving business performance through data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the portfolio documentation, such as the squad roadmaps, ensuring consistency in detail and approach across the squads.
- Create regular portfolio status updates for leadership, providing insights into squad progress, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Facilitate portfolio meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and note and action taking.
- Support with the management of portfolio finances, including raising and receipting POs, managing invoicing queries and maintaining finance trackers.
- Coordinate team meetings and events, such as our quarterly team days, fostering a culture of a great place to work.
- Conduct general team administration - maintaining contact lists, managing the team calendar and room bookings, maintaining the SharePoint site, supporting the onboarding process for new team members.
- Learn and develop in a high-performing team with opportunities to increase your influence and responsibility over time.
What You'll Need
- Essential: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint) and basic understanding of portfolio management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Self-starter who is able to respond to changing priorities with a sense of urgency and pace.
- Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project, JIRA, PowerApps).
- Certification in project management (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, AgilePM).
