About the Role
- To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
- Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a wide variety of shift patterns. Weekend working is a requirement of the role, and flexibility with your work pattern may be needed.
- Our in-store Pharmacies are hugely popular with our customers, who expect warmth and friendliness, as well as confidence in discussing personal health issues.
- You will be responsible for accurately assembling and processing prescriptions and driving awareness of all extra services we offer in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews).
- You will support the Pharmacist with the delivery and effective record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
- You will develop an understanding of the strict Standard Operating Procedures and work to them.
- You will collect the customer’s prescription from their doctor’s surgery on their behalf.
- You will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and then train as a Dispensing Assistant.
