The role involves working closely with Commercial and Retail Teams to ensure that activity, campaigns, and strategic projects are executed effectively across all stores. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that commercial plans are operationally sound, retail-ready, and deliverable first time through leading the Fit for Change Meetings.
  • Project managing key initiatives through to the point of change.
  • Championing the voice of retail across Central teams.
  • Validating the execution of activity through data, feedback channels, and store visits.
  • Identifying issues and root causes quickly, recommending clear and practical solutions.
  • Capturing Retail feedback and identifying opportunities to improve consistency of execution across the estate.
  • Providing clear and concise communication for retail.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring alignment on activity requirements, timelines, risks, and delivery expectations.
  • Driving simplification across Retail ways of working to reduce complexity for stores.

To be successful in this role, you should have a retail mindset with a passion for improving store standards and experience (previous retail experience is preferred). You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage change and drive results. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities are essential, along with a proven ability to simplify complex plans and processes into clear, easy-to-execute actions for Retail teams. Excellent project coordination/management and organisational skills are required, as well as the ability to problem-solve by identifying issues early and developing practical solutions. Confidence to challenge constructively where something isn't right for retail is also important.

Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum of 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores, or depots.
