Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and implement the Non-Food network plan to meet business strategy and cost.
- Responsible for leading business change projects in the Non-Food network.
- Overall responsibility for setting and approving network budgets that achieve business strategy.
- Responsible for Non-Food Depot colleagues and Non-Food network capability, driving the strategy to attract, develop and retain the best talent.
- Liaise with the People & Labour relations teams to find joint solutions.
- Identify savings as part of the LCOM agenda in their network.
- Optimising available resources – people, process, equipment to ensure delivery of the Non-Food network plan.
- Providing support & connection between ALS depot operations and wider central teams within Asda.
How you'll do it:
Knowledge: The role requires comprehensive knowledge of logistics, along with the experience of leading a business area in delivering against functional objectives. You will use your diverse understanding of logistics as you drive improvement in the ALS Non-Food network.
Communicating and influencing: This is a leadership role, requiring you to build and maintain a network of peers and contacts, and lead a team of Depot General Managers, both Asda and 3rd Party. You will comfortably challenge, confront, and solve difficult situations whilst maintaining solid internal and external connections. Influencing and negotiating at different levels across the business. You will achieve results through inspiring and motivating your team(s) to take action and deliver against the strategy.
Freedom to Think and Act: This role requires a degree of autonomous thinking as you set and deliver your network strategy using your experience, guided by broad principles and direction of the business. You have the freedom to define your own plan using own judgement to achieve success.
