About the Role
Our stores are packed with thousands of products, from clothes and household items to tinned foods and frozen goods, and without our warehouse teams they wouldn’t be on the shelves for our customers. Our teams of HGV Drivers are responsible for delivering goods to stores on time and in perfect condition. You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of your team of drivers from performance through to training needs. It is your responsibility to make sure that all of your drivers are out on time and fully briefed, as well as performing Tacho analysis and vehicle checks when your team return to the depot. If you’re looking for a chance to develop in logistics, this could be the role for you! We’ll work with you on your shifts, however the role will involve late and weekend working.
About You
As a Transport Department Manager, experience working in a similar distribution operation, with a proven track record of delivering results against KRA’s is essential. You’ll be able to work in a fast paced environment and be adaptable to change, whilst being passionate about doing the right thing for our customers by driving quality and adhering to process. You’ll be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results. You’ll have an enthusiastic approach and be a strong coach, mentor, motivator and role model to the managers and colleagues around you, driving performance and working cross-functionally, communicating effectively across all levels.
