About the Role
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and the role offers a wide variety of shift patterns. You will work flexible shifts but weekend working is a requirement.
Our in‑store Pharmacies are highly popular, and they must expect the same warmth and friendliness they get elsewhere. You will confidently discuss personal health issues, resolve customer problems quickly, and guide customers to the right products. You will also assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
You will drive awareness of all additional services we offer in Pharmacy, such as Prescription Collection Service and Medicines Use Reviews. You will support the Pharmacist with delivery and effective record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop‑smoking schemes, etc.). You will develop an understanding of strict Standard Operating Procedures and follow them. You will collect the customer's prescription from the doctor’s surgery on their behalf and bring it to the store ready for collection.
You will complete an accredited course within 6 months to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant and then train as a Dispensing Assistant, continuing your pharmacy training.
