Overview
About the Role: To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a wide variety of shift patterns. Weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern. Our in-store Pharmacies are popular with customers, and you will be confident and relaxed about discussing personal health issues, resolving customer problems, and guiding customers to the right products. You will also be responsible for spending time accurately assembling and processing prescriptions. You will drive awareness of the extra services we offer in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews). You will support the Pharmacist with the delivery and effective record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, quit smoking schemes, etc.). You will follow the Standard Operating Procedures to ensure customer expectations are met. You will collect a customer’s prescription from their doctor’s surgery and bring it to the store for collection. You will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and then train as a Dispensing Assistant, continuing your pharmacy training as you progress. Each step contributes to delivering enhanced service and moving your career forward.
