The predicted salary is between 29970 - 36483 € per year.
A typical day will involve completing eye examinations, contact lens fittings and extended service examinations. You will work alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching and maintain departmental standards. Within our NHS extended service contracts we commit to delivering a wide range of eye care, supporting you in gaining additional accreditations as needed. We provide comprehensive training and protected time for further accreditations, funded by Asda, to help you meet evolving eye care needs. With in‑store, regional and home‑office teams you will be fully supported in all aspects of your role, whether clinical or service‑based.
Responsibilities
- Complete eye examinations, contact lens fittings and extended service examinations.
- Support the Dispensing Optician Manager with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards.
- Deliver treatment and monitoring of eye conditions under NHS contracts.
- Provide high‑quality patient care and excellent customer experience.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
- Accredited MECs or WECs, or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining (funded and supported).
- On track to meet statutory points requirement for CPD.
- Right to work in the UK and evidence of registration.
