Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the night team to keep the store running during the night shift, ensuring availability and high shop floor standards.
  • Plan and execute all trading activity on the shopfloor during the night shift, ensuring delivery is date rotated and waste and returns are managed correctly to minimize loss through replenishment.
  • Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards while creating a culture of customer service and increasing basket size.
  • Ensure the shop floor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the day team, with promotion, foyer and hot spots fit for trade.
  • Create an environment that values employees, encourages ownership, focus and resilience, and supports development of the team.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
  • Ability to make decisions independently with a hands‑on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
  • Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
