Reporting into the Asda.com UX & Optimisation Manager, you will lead on a range of research initiatives utilising a range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to help deliver World Class digital experiences. Together with Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) specialists, Experimentation Design and Development and Content Designers you will form the UX and Optimisation Team part of Customer Strategy and Activity in the eCommerce function, at Asda. You will work collaboratively with the wider eCommerce team as well as Product and Technology functions, influencing decisions with data-backed insights to ensure the customer is at the heart of everything we do as we improve and optimise the end-to-end online experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular conversations with our customers to ensure we build the right experiences to solve their problems.
- Encourage the business to make decisions based on customer insight, data and research evidence.
- Identify research opportunities and execute a range of research activities based on collaboration with Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) and Product Design, as well as from your analysis of Voice of Customer sentiment and onsite behavioural analytics.
- Share insights in appropriate formats to aid understanding and knowledge sharing as well as wider stakeholder engagement and education.
- Help to lead and define projects, including troubleshooting, running alignment sessions and benchmarking.
- Seek to improve processes and ways of working – spotting opportunities for collaboration and creating efficiencies for colleagues and customers.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in the field of User Experience (UX) specifically research and ideally in a large-scale ecommerce environment where your work is shared to multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to utilise a range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies for both generating ideas and understanding as well as validating and evaluating solutions in the User Centred Design (UCD) process.
- Pragmatic and flexible, you understand how research operates in a Lean UX and Agile environment to produce timely and relevant insights that have impact.
- Collaborative and a team player, you understand the importance of engaging with others to synthesise insights as well as work with other teams' data sources to triangulate and spot trends.
- Confident in project scoping and planning as well as hands-on execution of running research studies.
- Strong communicator who can bring to life the stories of our customers with data and insights to influence and manage stakeholders.
To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum of 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
