As a Buying Manager, you will work collaboratively with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver sales, pricing and growth ahead of the market while managing the category P&L. You will negotiate and deliver business plans, understand customers, implement strategies that meet their needs, track and negotiate around key commodities, and deliver cost‑to‑serve programmes with suppliers to ensure great value for our customers.
About you
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong awareness of customer requirements, market trends and competitor ranges
- Ability to identify strategic opportunities and innovative product ideas
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence a diverse, branded supplier base
To ensure we balance moments where we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Additional requirements may require more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.
