About the Role — To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with that brings a wide variety of shift patterns; weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern. Our in-store Pharmacies are popular with customers and require warmth and friendliness, confidence to discuss personal health issues, and the ability to resolve customer problems and direct them to the right products. You will also be responsible for assembling and processing prescriptions accurately. You will drive awareness of extra services in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews, etc). You will support the Pharmacist with delivery and accurate record keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes, etc). You will develop an understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures and work to them as customers expect. You will collect customers' prescriptions from their doctor’s surgery and bring them to the store for collection. You will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and then train as a Dispensing Assistant to continue your pharmacy training. Each step will move your career forward.
