As a Night Manager, you will manage and lead the night team to keep everything running while the rest of the world sleeps, ensuring we deliver the best availability and highest shop floor standards across all departments. You will be solely responsible for the store during the night shift and will oversee the overall operation, ensuring the store remains safe, legal and ready for the day team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor during the night shift, ensuring dates are rotated correctly, waste and returns are managed, and replenishment limits damage.
  • Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards and foster a selling culture that adds value to every customer basket.
  • Ensure the shop floor is landed, presentable and promotionally ready before handing over to the day team, with an eye on the foyer and hot spots for trade.
  • Listen with empathy, drive resilience, encourage ownership and passion, and bring “Asdaness” to work every day while supporting team development and a motivating environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, preferably overnight.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with a hands‑on attitude and drive to improve processes and people.
  • Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
