As our General Store Manager, you’ll lead the planning strategy and execution of our store’s day‑to‑day operations across key departments—Non‑Food, Online and Customer—to maximise availability, minimise waste and shrink, and ensure the Superstore/Centre runs efficiently, safely and fully compliant. You’ll work closely with your Operations Manager and department managers to deliver consistent standards, drive productivity, and keep the store ready for customers. Whether it’s improving delivery flow, stock routines or compliance, you’ll be the driving force behind consistent operational excellence. You lead with heart and results by recognising effort, attitude and growth; creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted and motivated. You listen with empathy, respond with care, create space for respectful conversations, share decisions transparently and invite your team to solve challenges together. You coach through questions, encourage ownership and celebrate initiative, believing great stores are built by empowered people.

  • Experience as General Store Manager or Operations Manager leading diverse teams in large‑format retail.
  • Strong operational knowledge across food and non‑food departments with track record of operational excellence.
  • Track record of improving availability, reducing waste and managing shrink.
  • Proven record of developing large teams, managing change, building resilience.
  • Experience managing complex ER cases and understanding HR policies & processes.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceeding customer service.
