Food Safety Audit Manager

• Support our Primary Authority relationship for Food Safety including requesting business advice, Assured Advice and implementing Inspection Plans.

• Accountable for the effective resolution of issues identified from Food Safety referrals and regulatory contacts, establishing root cause and making recommendations to the business regarding process improvements where necessary.

• Manage relationship with external audit provider, support with day-to-day management of audits including queries, appeals, analysis of data, and development of audit strategy.

• Support in overseeing the Pest Management contract, including maintaining the relationship with the pest contractor and relevant stakeholders, managing quarterly meetings, and supporting field compliance team with especially challenging pest activity situations.

• Creation of communications to drive engagement.

• Support in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to process and work with stakeholders to effectively address these. Ensure communication with relevant parties is conducted in an appropriate manner and retail partners are provided with practical advice and solutions. Consideration given to all store formats with the aim to achieve harmonisation across the estate.

• Accountable for the creation and review of policy, process and procedure relevant to food safety regulations, working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to ensure requirements are embedded into ways of working for our Retail and Distribution colleagues.

• Managing colleagues who supports delivery of responsibilities detailed above.

• Preparing for and contributing to team meetings.

• Support and enable transformation with the divesture from Walmart across systems, process and approach without compromising compliance. Ensuring business processes are clearly defined to enable transition from legacy system into future system solutions; simplifying business processes and working collaboratively to ensure business successfully meets milestones.
