Are you a recent graduate in Data or analytical discipline that wants to kick start their career? Look no further we have an exciting opportunity to join the Asda Head office Data, Insight & Analytics Team. Working within the Data, Insight & Analytics team, you will work directly with our teams to produce complex data science models to identify and deliver business value across several key business processes. We support all areas of the business ranging from space optimisation in stores to analysing reasons for poor product availability within our stores.

This role provides many opportunities to further develop your communication, technical and analytical skillset and help support us in putting the customer first. As Asda moves through its digital and data transformation, you’ll be joining Asda at the right time. Leveraging data and analytics is a foundation to Asda’s transformation strategy and you would be at the very heart of this!
You might be a recent graduate and you’ll be motivated by working in a fast-paced role which requires strong communication and team working skills to achieve results. You’ll relish being part of a passionate, energetic team which thrives under pressure as you work together to provide creative solutions; all with the customer in mind.
This programme offers 3 rotations which will support you to develop breadth and provide exposure to the different Data teams within Asda:
- Insight and Analytics – A rotation in the Analytics Team to shape and deliver advanced analytics, visual insights and commercial recommendations that influence decisions at every level of the organisation. You’ll be applying your skills to real challenges in areas like customer behaviour, operations, and digital journeys.
- Data Science - A rotation in the Data Science Team, working in a cloud environment (Azure, Databricks) applying your technical skills to real challenges in areas like Customer Insights, Channels, and Supply. You'll learn from experienced colleagues, develop your craft, and help embed Data Science into everyday business processes.
- Data Engineering - A rotation in the Data Engineering Team offers the chance to develop your skills across a broad range of engineering areas – including Platform, Visualisation, ETL, Modelling and Orchestration – working within a multi-disciplined squad to deliver data products that will drive our business forward.
