Shift Pattern: Night shift (4 nights per week over 7 days, including weekends)

Overview: As part of the leadership team, you will manage and lead the night team, ensuring the store remains available, safe, and meets shop‑floor standards while the rest of the world sleeps. You will be solely responsible for the store during the night, overseeing operations throughout the 24‑hour cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategy into action: plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor during the night shift, ensuring proper product rotation and managing waste and returns to limit damage.
  • Lead with impact: coach and support night colleagues and team leaders, fostering excellent shop‑floor standards and a culture of customer service.
  • Execution‑focused: prepare the shop floor before handing over to the day team, ensuring promotions, foyer and hot‑spots are ready for trade.
  • Talent development: listen with empathy, build resilience, encourage ownership, and support teams to feel valued, trusted, and motivated.

Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, preferably overnight.
  • Strong decision‑making ability and a hands‑on attitude, with a drive to improve processes and people.
  • Confidence in team development and managing change.
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
