The Pharmacy Practice Manager reports to the Area Manager and is responsible for delivering all pharmacy‐related targets and deadlines, managing the store pharmacist and pharmacy colleagues, and driving a profitable business while maintaining high standards of patient safety and compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.

Key duties include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing the pharmacy team to deliver an excellent patient experience
  • Supporting the development of all direct reports and locums to maintain professional customer service standards
  • Ensuring compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance
  • Balancing line management duties with the clinical responsibilities of a pharmacist
  • Collaborating with in‐store, regional and home office teams for clinical or service based support

Qualifications:

Applicants must be a fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC, able to deliver national and local NHS and private healthcare services, with line‐management experience. Additionally:

  • Valid GPhC registration and evidence of right to work in the UK
  • Relevant safeguarding qualifications
  • Clear DBS check and enrolment in the live update service
  • Experience in challenging, confronting and solving difficult situations while maintaining solid connections with store and field teams
