Overview

Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role coordinates patient care and commercial objectives, leading the pharmacy team to deliver the best service and meet all Pharmacy-related targets and deadlines. The role includes management of the store pharmacist and pharmacy colleagues, coaching, development, and ensuring compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance. Daily responsibilities also involve supporting clinical and service queries with regional and home office teams.

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Practice Manager will lead and develop the pharmacy team, maintain high standards of customer service and patient safety, and support direct reports and locums. The role also includes balancing line management duties with pharmacist responsibilities, delivering results through inspiring the team, and addressing challenging situations effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
  • Accreditation to deliver national and local NHS and private healthcare services.
  • Experience balancing line management and pharmacist clinical duties to ensure safe working practice.
  • Evidence of the right to work in the UK and relevant safeguarding qualifications.
  • DBS check and live update service enrolment required.
