Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the twilight shift transitioning from day to night, ensuring excellent availability, shop floor standards, and store safety for customers and colleagues.
  • Drive strategy into action: Planning and executing trading activity on the shop floor during twilight shift by ensuring great availability standards and key metrics and KRAs through routine and process.
  • Lead with impact: Leading and coaching colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards whilst creating a culture of selling to our customers with personality, serving with heart and pride, and getting one more item in every basket.
  • Execution-focused: Ensuring shop floor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to night team.
  • Talent Development: Listen with empathy, driving resilience and encouraging ownership, focus and passion for the business by bringing the “Asdaness” to work every day and supporting the development of the team and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to step up.

Qualities You’ll Need

  • Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment.
  • Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
  • Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Flexibility to work a range of twilight shifts, including weekends.
