We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our dynamic team, committed to excellence in healthcare. You will work alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards. We deliver a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions and support you to gain additional accreditations as needed. At Asda, we provide extensive training, a strong CPD programme with protected time to complete further accreditations, funded by Asda, and a focus on developing your skills and potential. There is an optional opportunity for GOC registered professionals to supervise students, which can enhance your own skills and development. With in-store, regional and home office teams, you will be supported in all aspects of your role, whether your query is clinical or service based.

Responsibilities
- Complete eye examinations, including contact lens and extended service examinations.
- Support colleagues with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager.
- Contribute to delivering a wide range of eye care under NHS extended service contracts and help deliver required services.
- Utilise clinical skills to provide a memorable customer experience and help develop new patient services.
Qualifications
- A fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
- MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining, funded and supported by Asda).
- On track to meet the statutory CPD points requirement.
- Evidence of Right To Work in the UK.
