The UK business, headquartered in Leeds, operates out of 11 principal locations, employs circa 700 staff The Role: Based at our site in Kidderminster we are looking for a Processing Operative. The role will involve operating heavy machinery such as a decoiling / slitting Machine, fork-lift trucks and overhead cranes. The site processes thousands of tonnes of steel each week and so health and safety is a primary concern for us. As such, you’ll be given full training on how to operate all the machinery in our site as well as manual handling and general health and safety training. Hours of work are 5:30am to 1:30pm Mon to Fri then 1:30pm to 10pm Mon to Thurs and 1:30pm to 7pm Friday rotating weekly. As well as the rotating day shift we also have opportunities on our night shift. The main purpose of this role: * Operate the Bud Profiling Line or an appropriate scheduled activity e.g. machine operation, loading, basic maintenance, TPM, 5S, or any other duties as directed. This may involve moving to another areas, machine centre, or location.
