T he O pportunityWe're looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Account Manager to join our sales team in Dudley.
This is a fast paced, customer focused role where you'll manage and develop customer accounts, respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and identify opportunities to grow sales. Working closely with both customers and colleagues across the business, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience while driving profitable growth.
You'll become a trusted point of contact for your customers, building long term relationships, understanding their requirements and providing the right products and solutions to meet their needs. You'll also work closely with our External Sales team, supporting account development and helping to win new business.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This is an office-based role, working from our Dudley office (DY2 0UY).What You'll Be DoingNo two days are the same, but your responsibilities will include: Managing and developing a portfolio of existing customer accountsResponding to customer enquiries and preparing accurate, competitive quotationsBuilding strong customer relationships through regular telephone and email contactIdentifying opportunities to grow customer spend and increase account profitabilityProactively following up quotations and converting opportunities into salesWorking closely with External Sales colleagues to support customer growth and new business opportunitiesDelivering exceptional customer service and providing the right solutions for customer requirementsDeveloping account plans to maximise sales opportunitiesMaintaining accurate customer records and sales activity within CRM systemsMonitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunitiesHandling customer queries and resolving issues professionally and efficientlySupporting effective account management, including credit control activities where requiredAchieving agreed sales, margin and customer growth targetsWhat We're Looking ForWe're interested in people with the drive, resilience and commercial instinct to succeed in sales.
Ideally, you'll have: Experience in internal sales, customer service, account management or sales supportExperience within the metals, industrial, manufacturing or distribution sectors (preferred but not essential)A proven ability to build strong customer relationships and identify sales opportunitiesStrong commercial awareness and a target-driven mindsetExcellent communication, negotiation and influencing skillsConfidence working with figures, margins and commercial dataStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applicationsA proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamA stable employment history demonstrating commitment and reliabilityWhat's In It For You?
