Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 2.00pm until 10.00pm daily

Role Overview

As a Processing Operative you will be responsible for operating and supporting a range of production machinery such as saw/drill lines or shotblast equipment to process materials according to production schedules. The role involves preparing and loading materials, setting up tools, monitoring machine operations, and ensuring finished products meet required quality and tolerance standards. Working within the operations team, as a Processing Operative you must follow all Health & Safety and quality procedures while maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient working environment. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to use measuring equipment, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving setup or programming issues.

Essential Requirements

  • Stable and consistent employment history.
  • Experience of working in a heavy industry environment (preferably in steel).
  • Ability to safely handle large and heavy steel products.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to health and safety.
  • Experience of operating overhead cranes and counterbalance forklift trucks.
