We are currently looking for MIG Welders to join our team based in Leeds. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of structural steel, with a particular focus on the production of Westok Cellular Beams and Plate Girders. You will use the MIG/MAG welding process to deliver high-quality, accurate products in line with fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce Westok Cellular Beams and Ultra Shallow Floor Beams (USFB).
  • Work safely and deliver output that meets ISO-9001 quality standards.
  • Use MIG welding equipment to produce fillet and butt welds.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Report any damage or equipment malfunction promptly.
  • Visually inspect all work to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a tidy and organised work area.
  • Measure and cut beams to length using an oxy-propane torch to meet drawing specifications.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience using air-arc equipment to gouge and prepare weld areas.
  • Competent in MIG welding including single fillet multi welds and butt welds.
  • Ability to interpret basic drawings and produce work in accordance with these.
